Reinforcements arrive to help battle stubborn landfill fire in Almaty region

ASTANA. Sept 17 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) — Frefighters continue round-the-clock efforts to extinguish a persistent fire at a solid waste landfill in the Almaty region, with specialized teams and equipment mobilized from multiple regions, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations said Wednesday.
